The Big Picture

Money moved out of tech and into everything that holds value when the dollar softens. Silver led with a 4.47% gain, gold added 3.84%, and the dollar index eased 0.24% to 99.41. Under a flat headline tape, that rotation did all the work. The equity split tells the same story. Healthcare rose 3.51% and small caps gained 0.5%, while technology fell 1.07% and dragged the Nasdaq 100 down 0.2%. Long dated Treasuries rallied, with TLT up 1.67%, meaning yields fell. Crypto ran hardest of all: Ethereum up 11.1% to $2,124, Bitcoin up 6.29% to $68,624. The tension: this is a bet on easier money and a weaker dollar. Fear and Greed sits at 56, greed, but the index leaders are not participating.
